BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, (1651-52) E, with crown-alone countermark on shield and crown-alone countermark (rare variety) on cross (very rare with two countermarks), ex-Capitana, ex-Hudson, Mastalir Plate.
S-P36; KM-19b; Cal-Type 327. 24.02 grams. Odd-shaped flan with well-centered full shield showing full countermark in center, off-center cross with flan extending well past the outer border, very bold and nearly full countermark at top (covering the date), AXF with light surface corrosion, toned in crevices.
