Very rare as a straight-graded half dollar from this wreck and the first we have offered at auction. Lustrous with nice details throughout, only lightly circulation wear on the high points, date a bit weakly struck, particularly attractive reverse. Recovered from: S.S. Republic, sunk in 1865 off Georgia. (NGC #1830752-004)
