BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, (1651-52) E, with crowned-PH countermark on shield.
S-P36; KM-19b; Cal-Type 327. 23.42 grams. Typical example with light surface corrosion and brownish toning, full shield with P-E to left and 8-E to right, bold distinctive crown of countermark at top, weaker full cross, all a bit off-center, small edge-split.
With original MAREX tag and photo-certificate 91-8R-1177. Recovered from: Maravillas, sunk in 1656 off Grand Bahama Island.
